Meet Our People
S. Lu
Teacher
Ms. Lu is certified to teach in the New York City public schools in Early Childhood Education (birth-grade 2), Childhood Education (grades 1-6), and Bilingual Education (Chinese). Ms. Lu has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bilingual Education and will complete her Master’s Degree in ESL next summer. She also has an Associate of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. During the school year, Ms. Lu is a full-time pre-K teacher with 13 years of teaching experiences. Ms. Lu is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Taishanese and Hawshanese. She is also skilled in the art of Chinese paper cutting.

Letitia Chan
Teacher Assistant
Ms. Chan has over 15 years of experience working with children and 11 years of experience working for summer camp programs. Ms. Chan has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, and she has also received extensive professional trainings in school-age child care and school-age program administration sponsored by Cornell University and the New York Department of Social Services. Ms. Chan is fluent in Mandarin, Taisanese and Cantonese.

Spencer Wan
Program Director/Co-Founder

Mr. Wan is a New York State certified Math and Bilingual (Chinese) teacher and school administrator. Mr. Wan has a Master of Science Degree in Education, with focuses on curriculum and instruction and educational technologies. He also has a Master of Arts Degree in Religious Studies and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Mr. Wan has worked in the field of education for over 25 years. He has worked in both teaching and in administration. He is currently a Math teacher in a New York City public high school. Mr. Wan has practiced Tai Chi Chuan for over 20 years. He has been teaching this art to young people and adults in different settings. He will be the one to provide the Tai Chi exercise lessons to our summer program students. Mr. Wan is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.


Selina Law
President/Co-Founder

Ms. Law has a Master of Education Degree in School Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management. She has acquired Texas Teacher Certifications in Math (grades 1-12) and in Business (high school). Ms. Law has worked in the field of education for over 15 years with the majority of her time in administration. Ms. Law is functioning as the chief executive officer of our program. Ms. Law is also the president of a tea company, Screen Tea, Inc. She will be the one to host the “tea and dim sum” activity for our summer program.


Guest Instructors

Guest instructors, who are specialized in specific skills, will be invited to come work with our students. One of such skills is clay-figure making.
